I think this might be the shortest review I’ve ever written on my blog. But since I just finished assembling the Rolife Leisurely Cheers Bar in about two hours, it definitely deserves its spot here — even if it was more of a side project than a main one.

Why I Picked This Rolife Kit for Kids

Rolife DIY Miniature Plastic House (Leisurely Cheers Bar)
Buy Now →I didn’t actually buy this kit to build a bar. I bought it because it’s packed with miniature bar accessories: bottles, glasses, a beer tap, and all the bits that were still missing in my own pub project, The Golden Years.
If you’ve followed that build, you’ll know it was a mix of two Robotime kits that I kitbashed into one cozy pub. You can read that story here: How I Kitbashed Two Robotime Miniature Kits into a Cozy Pub Called “The Golden Years”.
While I was sorting through the accessories, I figured I might as well assemble the whole thing and give it a quick review for my readers.

You can find this DIY kit by Rolife/Robotime on their own site here.
Or you can find this kit on Amazon here.
First Impressions
This kit builds fast. All the parts are plastic and simply click together — no glue required unless you want to stick down some of the accessories. Rolife even includes small double-sided glue stickers, which makes it super easy.

My first impression was that this kit is absolutely perfect for kids. The box says “8+,” and I completely agree. It’s a fun and simple little project that even beginners or younger builders can finish easily.

Building Experience
The entire assembly went smoothly — everything snaps in place and holds well. I didn’t need to adjust or sand anything, and it was done in 2 hours time. Mind you, that I didn’t glue anything down, as I am going to reuse the parts for my bashed DIY kit.

Pros and Cons
I can be very quick about this- lol:
Pros
- No extra materials needed, at all
- Great for kids or total beginners.
- Very playable with the right-scale figurines. (Sylvanian dolls, for example)
- Perfect as a Christmas gift or small weekend project.
Cons
- The roof pieces have to be purchased separately, which I didn’t know beforehand. That means I couldn’t attach the LED light to anything — my bar now has no lighting!
- Given that the roof is separate, the price feels a bit high.
- Everything is plastic, so not as sturdy or environmentally friendly as the wooden kits.

Final Thoughts
If you’re looking for a miniature kit that your kids (or you) can finish in an afternoon, this one is a winner. It’s cheerful, simple, and full of useful accessories that can easily be reused in other projects, which was exactly my reason for buying it.
For serious collectors or adult miniaturists, it might feel too “toy-like,” but as a fun gift or starter project, it’s ideal.
Have you tried any of the newer Rolife plastic kits yet? Let me know in the comments — I’m curious what others think of this newer direction from Robotime.
I wish you happy crafting!
Kind regards,
Lizzy

Hi everyone!
My name is Lizzy, and I am an amateur miniaturist obsessed with everything in the dollhouse and miniature world, ever since I was a teenager.
So far, I have created 2 dollhouse projects, a backyard shed and a miniature treehouse, tons of DIY dollhouse kits, and “hacked” some.
I also created a fairy garden, and lots of small and simple miniature projects on my YouTube channel. (mostly made from trash or everyday items).
I love to write as well about all things happening in the miniature world, hence the reason why I created this blog!
I wish you happy reading and crafting!
