Creating dollhouse furniture and accessories doesn’t have to be expensive or complicated. With a bit of creativity and some everyday materials, you can bring your dollhouse to life.
Here are 31 simple yet effective ideas for crafting miniatures DIY, all inspired by tutorials and projects from my own "Everything Very Small" YouTube channel, and also from a few others.

Living Room Dollhouse Furniture
Living room furniture sets the tone for your dollhouse and creates a welcoming space for its tiny inhabitants.
This section includes creative and even functional pieces that bring warmth and style to your dollhouse's main gathering area, without breaking the bank or the need for special materials.
1. Miniature Sofa from Cardboard:
This miniature sofa is made from cardboard, scraps of fabric, a bit of lace, foam, and UHU glue. Pretty easy to create!
2. Popsicle Stick Coffee Table:
Craft a stylish coffee table using: popsicle sticks, an X-Acto knife aka a crafting knife, a piece of paper tape, and crafting glue, I sometimes use a glue gun as well, sturdy scissors, sandpaper, paint or varnish for a polished look.
3. Paper Table and chairs:
Fold and glue sturdy paper to make a lightweight table and chairs.
4. A miniature fireplace
This DIY miniature fireplace is made from popsicle sticks, yes indeed!
What you need is: some paper tape, popsicle sticks, crafting glue or wood glue, a crafting knife, a pencil, a metal ruler, and sandpaper.
5. Woven DIY Dollhouse Miniature Chair Made From Matchsticks
What do you need for this woven dollhouse miniature chair? As usual: very simple everyday materials: a needle, matches; a cutter, sandpaper, crafting glue (something that grabs fast), scissors, and the finest white nylon string that you can find.
Bedroom dollhouse Furniture
A dollhouse wouldn't be complete without a bedroom, right? Here are more easy DIY ideas for you to create miniatures from everyday materials 🙂
6. Dollhouse Bed with Popsicle Sticks:
Make a charming bed frame from popsicle sticks and decorate it with miniature bedding afterward.
Just cut popsicle sticks to size for the frame and legs, and assemble the frame using glue. Further instructions in the video (click on the picture below)!
7. Nightstand with Matchboxes and paper:
I think this piece of dollhouse furniture is something we all crafted as a kid, didn't we?
Just Stack and glue matchboxes, and cover them with paper to form a functional nightstand. You can paint and add decorative knobs for realism. (again, click on the picture below to take you to the full tutorial).
8. Miniature cardboard Wardrobe:
Use cardboard to design a wardrobe!
9. Dollhouse Clothes Rack from skewer sticks and paperclips:
In the next video tutorial, you just need paper clips, some tools, and some skewer sticks to create a mini clothes rack. Quick and easy project!
10. A dollhouse miniature crib created from popsicle sticks!
The little ones need a place to sleep in their bedrooms too! 🙂
What you need here is: popsicle sticks, fast-drying wood glue, a toothpick, a cutter, and acrylic paint if you want to paint it, that's it!
Kitchen and Dining Room dollhouse furniture
11. A kitchen organizer made from matchboxes.
What you need is: a round stick to create the table legs, 3 matchboxes, scissors, strong paper with a color of your own choice, and crafting glue/ a glue gun. (it's up to you to choose either)

12 and 13; A Tiny Fridge with 2 different methods.
- Method 1:
Both methods for creating a dollhouse fridge use paper, but with the first method, it all starts with a box 😉

Creating this little fridge only requires mostly origami paper and glue, it is even easier than the previous one!
14. Woven dollhouse Chairs with matchsticks
These tiny chairs that look like they are woven, can be placed in a vintage-looking dining room. They are made from matchsticks, crafting glue, and needle and thread!
It can take some time to make 4 of them, but the instructions are quite easy to follow:
15. Create a dollhouse kitchen from a cardboard box and paper!
After you have created a sturdy cardboard dollhouse, you could go on with the trend and create the kitchen for it.
You can make this quite easily by just using a cardboard box from a package ( make sure that the box is in the right size for your dollhouse), and covering it with paper.
There you have it: a dollhouse cardboard kitchen, which even has doors that can open.

16. A Miniature kitchen sink, made from cardboard and a sticker.
Again, we are using cardboard, to this time create a miniature kitchen sink. The difference now is that we added a pretty sticker, to get a pretty design for your kitchen.
This does make it a bit more finished and realistic, doesn't it?
Dollhouse Bathroom Accessories and furniture
17. Create a bathtub from a plastic container
For the next project, a miniature bathtub, you need a plastic container and cut off the bottom with a sharp blade, after you mark it.
The rest is quite self-explanatory 😉
18. A whimsical fairy garden bathroom sink from trash and twigs.
This tiny bathroom sink is something different and more suitable as a 'fairy garden' item than a modern bathroom.
I have made it from willow twigs, used a plastic box that had a specific shape (you can use any shape you like), and some leftover pieces of trash and fake (and even real) greeneries.
Here's the result:
19. A miniature Toilet from cardboard
Cardboard, glue, white paper, scissors, and a bead, that's all you need to create this dollhouse toilet!
20. Mini Towel Rack and toilet paper holder.
Another fantastic way to create miniatures from thrash or everyday items: mini towel rods and even a toilet paper holder!
What you need here is paper clips, earring backs, glue, and towels!
Easy Outdoor Miniature Furniture
21. An outdoor dollhouse miniature garden chair from popsicle sticks
This miniature or fairy garden outdoor chair is quite fancy, don't you think?
All you need is popsicle sticks, a steady hand and some glue, and sturdy scissors or a cutter!
22. A lounge chair and umbrella made from popsicle sticks
In the next video, you can see how I created this miniature lounge chair with an umbrella with popsicle sticks, and a skewer stick.

23. How to create a miniature swing with matchsticks?
Now, working with matchsticks that I haven't cut off the tops, has been quite controversial on social media.
But no, you will not burn the house down doing this, the ones I use need the actual matchbox to inflame, they don't self-inflame, and my house is still standing. Just saying - lol!
( lesson learned: don't ever discuss your own projects too much on socials, you'll get burned - pun intended )

24. Desk from matchboxes:
Build a functional desk with compartments using matchboxes. Just glue them together and use a sticker that looks like wood. Et voila:
