We are on the ROLLLL with our journey of contacting more fantastic miniaturists, and I love it! Today, we will focus on "3StarStudioArts", who not only create wooden dollhouse furniture (kits), but so much more.
I'm quite surprised that these miniaturists aren't more "discovered" on social media, because their work is quite amazing, in my opinion.
I'm saying "their" work instead of "hers or his", and that is for a reason, let's just dive straight into this reason, shall we?
But first, who are 3StarStudioArts?
As you could guess by the name of the studio, 3 people work together on these miniatures: Krista, Zak, and Luna.
Let's share their story in their own words:
" Zak was a manager of a digital fabrication lab with laser cutters and 3-D printers and we tested the machines with miniature furniture I designed.
Because we love working together, we combined talents and then brought our creative daughter, Luna, into the fold. The three of us are always brainstorming new projects and ideas together.
I’ve been a fan of small scaled worlds since my first dollhouse in 1980. That house was slowly filled with miniatures, and over many years, miniatures became my favorite thing to collect. "
Juniper Slice Tripod Table - with a Built-in Rock Collection,
it has downed juniper wood and crystals from our land here in New Mexico
" While traveling I would seek out tiny objects to bring home and loved to find things that I could turn into my own creations.
Repurposing life-sized objects into miniature objects is still one of my favorite ways to enjoy miniatures. In fact, there are always a number of handmade pieces in our shop that are repurposed."
Dome-covered tabletop miniature terrarium,
made with half a plastic thread spool.
" During my schooling and into my professional life I’ve built theater sets, display dioramas, and art pieces that are all in miniature.
Soon, all three of us will be opening a local brick-and-mortar general store which will contain some of these creations tucked into the building for visitors to discover. "
Watermelon And Teal Surfboard Entryway Miniature Table,
Made from a marker cap.
" Discovering a small world has always tickled me and brought excitement to my spirit, and there is nothing better than sharing heart-warming feelings.
As anyone who enjoys miniatures knows, this passion can fill you with delight"
Where To Find The Wooden Dollhouse Furniture (kits) and other miniatures by 3StarStudioArts?
You can find their work in 2 places on the internet, here's the list:
- Instagram: 3StarStudioArts
- Etsy Store: 3StarStudioArts
Who are the influencers of Zak, Krista, and Luna?
" I’m always looking through current catalogs and blogs that focus on contemporary design. I find inspiration constantly from these sources - although my favorite inspiration comes from this beautiful land that we live in."
I continue to be a long-time fan of these incredible artists:

Time To Take A Deeper Dive Into These Miniatures!
When I take a look at professional miniature artists' work, I try to divide each into sections like (wooden) dollhouse furniture (kits), miniature art, miniature plants, miniature clothes, and so on, and go over each of them.
Which sometimes can be something long-winded, to say the least haha, but I'm more than happy to do this for you, so let's go!
( I also need to mention that their store also sells wonderful books, earrings, necklaces, and laser-cut beads. So make sure to take a look at these as well when interested! )
1. Finished wooden dollhouse furniture.
Not that the other miniatures aren't fantastic, but the finished miniature furniture pieces are amongst my favorites, and they caught my eyes and my total attention on Instagram!
Lots of these are so colorful and vibrant and quite original, in my opinion.
They are on a scale of 1:12 or 1:16 and I have even seen one on a scale of 1:24 and made from either walnut wood, cedar wood, or birch plywood, sometimes combined with a piece of synthetic felt, which gives them a unique look.
Check out these finished wooden dollhouse furniture and prices here.
2. Wooden dollhouse furniture kits.
There are a lot of DIY dollhouse kits on the market, but not so many actual dollhouse furniture kits, besides the vintage House Of Miniatures brand, for example.
So I am always happy to see that there are more choices out there for these types of kits, and these look quite nice, I might be biased haha!
These kits are on different scales as well: 1:12, 1:24, and 1:16, and sometimes can be created in 2 different scales, like the "glass" miniature table in the picture below (this is made from acrylic and lucite).
The rest of the dollhouse furniture kits are made from materials like plywood, walnut wood, and Baltic birch.
These kits are laser cut and arrive to you flatly packed and ready for quick and easy assembly while using wood or craft glue works perfectly.
You could leave the dollhouse furniture just like it is, but of course, you can decorate and paint them any way you like in any colors of your preference.
Check out more details and prices of these dollhouse furniture kits here.
3. Miniature Art Work.
What can I say, other than I love these tiny pieces of modern art?
If I had a modern dollhouse, these would definitely fit in it, just take a closer look at the pictures below!
There are tiny paintings, totems, sculptures, and more.
Check out these miniature art pieces and their prices here.
4. Miniature plants
Are you tired of having to water and care for your real plants? Look no further than the miniature plant collection from 3StarStudioArts!
These adorable little plants may not be real, but they require absolutely no maintenance. No more worrying about watering, pruning, or fertilizing your plants
Their store has a lot of succulents and cactuses, but there are so many other types of miniature plants available, that it looks impossible for me to mention them all 😉
They are handmade and seem to be (hand)made from acrylic, vinyl, brass, terracotta,... These include the pots, so go check them out!
Check out these tiny miniature plants here and their prices.
5. Miniature Rugs
Miniature rugs can be a charming addition to any dollhouse and come in a variety of styles and patterns, ranging from traditional Persian designs to modern geometric shapes.
This latter style is created by 3StarStudioArts and their miniature rugs add a sense of coziness and warmth to the rooms.
They can work on any scale: 1:6, 1:12, 1:16, 1:18, and 1:24, depending on the size that you prefer, and are made from synthetic felt, acrylic dye, etc.
Whether you're a serious collector or just looking for a cute accent piece, miniature rugs are a fun and unique way to express your creativity and add personality to your miniature world!
Check out these miniature rugs and prices here.
6. Miniature Houseware.
It is in the little details, no pun intended, and miniature houseware can add that "panache" to any miniature setting.
3StarStudioArts creates little things like room dividers and mini clocks, adding a touch of realism and sophistication to your dollhouse.
These miniature housewares are in a modern style and are made from different kinds of materials, like birch plywood, maple wood, and air-dry clay.

I absolutely love the idea of using wooden dollhouse furniture to enhance the miniature world in my dollhouse! The attention to detail and craftsmanship of the 3StarStudioArts pieces showcased in this post are truly impressive. The selection of furniture, from the living room to the bedroom and kitchen, is varied and realistic, adding a touch of authenticity to the miniature world. I am also happy you provided useful tips on how to incorporate these pieces into the dollhouse and make the most of their design. Did I also mention how the wooden furniture adds a warm and natural feel to the space, making it more inviting and charming?

Hi Lizzy, how exciting a raffle. This will be fun. We’ll I’m 72 yrs young and just started playing with dollhouses. I’ve been lucky to find 2 houses on Fb marketplace for a really good price. I need to start working on the outside first. I’ve been looking at all the places that sell miniatures. It’s overwhelming. But if I was chosen I would start shopping for furniture. Not sure my style yet. I love oriental theme and modern and shabby. I’m learning to hold back because I have to get the house ready to move into. Then I can go shopping. Thanks for this opportunity. I absolutely love it.
Hello there!
Thank you for your positive comment and good luck to you! You are now "number 1" for the raffle on the 21st of June!

So exciting to enter in the giveaway! There are so many things I want on etsy.com! I make Halloween and macabre miniatures so I would buy molds, bottles, jars, and other items that would help me to create my miniature cabinets, tables and scenes.
