This is a very interesting subject to be discussed, but we love it and was so interested in it. Felt discouraged of how many pieces that were gone from the box. You had to make so many different changes to it. That should have been included with it for that price. I think that we could possibly get one if we new for sure that we were getting what we pay for. Awesome hobbies to have and read about and see that you put many together. And have the hand to do it, question do you have to have steady hands for this? I mean it has to look nice so some kind of steady hand no shaking. Well we really enjoyed seeing all the art you have made keep going awesome site may future buy from you.
Dedicating the time and effort to creatively and stylishly bring beautiful creations from woods is what I love and the way you have structured here is massive. Thank you so much for what you have shared here. Since it is stay at home period, this might be the perfect time to get right into it and construct a beautiful miniature doll house for my kids. Thanks for sharing this
Hi, thanks for sharing this amazing article about robotime miniature doll house kit- an expanded review of Cathy's flower house . This article is very educative and informative and I think this method will help my siblings to learn craftsmanship and art . Also I will love to share this article to school because I know it will be very helpful to them. Thanks for sharing once again.
Since I have been a kid, I have been a very big fan of the doll house and many people think that I am just crazy to like something like that because I'm already old but I feel like they are a very good way for m to express myself and give to the world what I have in my own imagination. I like this piece and although it has its own disadvantages, it is still very lovely. Thanks.
Hello Cathy, it's nice visiting your site. This is one very nice product and I love how you have given full detail of how the product is. Having your kids do things like this gives them some sense of responsibility and help them develop their brain in the process of thinking how to assemble the pieces together. I believe it will be so much fun and its nice this product is none toxic and i hope there are no sharp edges that can causes injuries ?
Hi Dane,
To be clear: these kits are suitable for kids only from 14 years old. Or younger with the guidance off adults 😉 I wouldn't give these to young children , as the pieces are very small and could be swallowed bye them . Thanks for your message !
Happy crafter,
I very much enjoyed reading your very entertaining article. I love miniature crafts, that is only to look at them though, as they look so pretty and colourful. The attention to detail is quite remarkable! I haven't got the patience to spend the whole day putting one together though.
I also enjoy giving miniature gifts to friends and family, for birthday parties, weddings or graduations etc, etc. Even now in my adult years, i still enjoy going to the 'Hobbycraft' shop, just for the miniature colourful visuals.
What moved my heart was the educational and fun side for the children. Also, the family get togethers, that really got my attention with the DIY kits.
You did make me smile though, chuckle and laugh, at some of the comments that you made about the missing pieces, update and pictures. Gosh i would definitely ask for a refund regarding the missing pieces!
I really enjoyed your article. The finished products are so adorable, which is worth all the hard work and patience.
Hope you don't end up being a 'robot' with Robotime.
Oh that reminds me, one question. Does Robotime do miniature kits for the film industry like 'Toy Story', 'The Avengers' or 'The Incredibles'. Yep i'm a kid at heart. I'd definitely be doing the kits all day then, 24/7.
Happy Crafting!
Hi Dayo!
Thank you so much for your wonderfull comment, it was you who made me giggle haha.
About your question, sadly Robotime doesn't make miniature kits for the film industry, what a great idea ! You might give the makers an idea 😉
Happy crafting !
Lizzy
Loved the post, it was very interesting. I hadn't heard of this particular manufacturer, Robotime before. I did go and have a look and was fascinated.
All your makes are lovely. I am curious what you do with the,. Once made do you keep them as an ornament or are you tempted to move things about within the various pieces? Do you keep improving on them, adding extra little pieces?
I can see that this could easily become an all consuming hobby, although I must admit I would find it very frustrating if pieces were missing or in the wrong place.
Your website is very interesting, got caught up with the fairy gardens too.
Have shared on social media.
Hi Linda!
Thank you for your nice comment! I am going to have my partner work on a 'tower' off planks in my hallway, so I can put them on top off eachother and make an appartment building, kind off 🙂 Then add some extra's, like moss, branches, ladders etc. It's a work in progress, a lifetime hobby. You can add or change as many things as you like, even in small spaces in your house. Another reason why I love miniatures 😉 Thank you for sharing !
I love dollhouses and the idea of building one up from scratch amuses me. They all seem to have some type of imperfect challenge to them though. I had a rough time getting the tabs to stay in the slots even after adding carpenter glue. It was a great dollhouse once I overcame the problem or made it less noticable. Sometimes you do have to improvise. I hope you have or will find the perfect dollhouse kit one day.
Very interesting article.
Before reading your article, I have heard about such products, and I have never even thought of buying such products for my baby. I think these Miniature Dollhouse Kits have similar effects to players like puzzles and transforming robots. I guess, my baby will love it. I will buy one in the near future when the time is OK, and I will play with him.
Thanks.
Robotime products are actually durable and of good quality as I've gotten some of their products in the past for my daughter. Her personal favourite was the music box, which I and her mother helped her in putting together. It had beautiful lights and the green on her face when the music came on was of pure joy. This miniature dollhouse have good features and I'll get one for her soon.
Thanks for this incredible article! am in love with these stuff and you just reminded me that there is things i can do through the lockdown to spend some fun time with my family.
But may i ask about missing pieces or that the pieces not the same so you have to drill it, did you try to contact theseller to know way and what you can do about that?
What an interesting article. I have often wondered about the hobby of miniatures like that. I just that all pieces were bought as miniatures and just kind of created the look you wanted. I didn't realize that part of the hobby included actually building the miniatures. I would say that must be quite the challenge at times, which probably explains the interest for many people. My feeling is that activities become hobbies because they challenge you somehow.
I don't think I would have the patience to continue with a hobby where missing pieces often happened! I was impressed that you pressed on though. The fact that you showed your actual step by step process kept the article entertaining. Were all those final pictures your other completed projects? Well done!
