In a former topic called 'What are the hardest things to find in the dollhouse world', several people said that they had a hard time finding a 1:12 scale that isn't ugly hahahaha!
Well, yes, that is why I tend to go for other figurines like little mice, they would also suit my treehouse more, but yes I can imagine! 🤣

So, what’s the deal? Well, it seems like manufacturers just don’t think there’s enough demand to put in the effort. The dolls are either too basic or just downright weird-looking because 1:12 scale is considered too small for kids and too niche for collectors.
But don’t lose hope! There are some alternatives:
1. Handmade Dolls: Some artists on Etsy, like ZjakazumiDolls, make beautiful, detailed dolls. Yes, they’re pricey, but they’re also well-made and customizable.
2. Alternative Options: If you're willing to get creative, Lori dolls or even some Japanese 1:12 figures can work. They’re definitely a step up from the usual fare, though they might still not be perfect.
Also, Topper Dawn dolls have been mentioned on my Facebook group and Phicen dolls. What do you think?
3. DIY Solutions: Some folks are taking matters into their own hands—literally! Customizing existing dolls, like Barbie Chelsea, or even making your own from artist mannequins can be a fun way to get exactly what you want.
It’s a bit of a challenge, but with some digging (and maybe a little DIY), you can find—or create—dolls that actually look good in your dollhouse.
Can you think of any other places where you can find pretty dolls on a scale of 1:12? Please let me know!
Happy crafting or collecting!
