Hi Leo! Thank you for the compliment, much appreciated! Under the floorboards, there are extra pieces of wood to form a "box" where you can just slide in the battery pack, and take it out the switch on the lights. It should be clear in the manual if you have one? If not, there is a downloadable manual in my article ;-). So, you will notice once you get to that part, the battery box goes underneath. Your custom build looks amazing! I have a question for you if you don't mind... I'm just about to assemble the flooring on my Simon's Cafe and cannot figure out how one would ever reach the light switch on the battery pack, after glueing the floorboards down. Am I missing something? How did you do it?

Wow Lizzy, you must be blessed with an extra measure of patience. I absolutely love the detail in your creations, and, how brave of you to color outside the lines by adding your own creations, using your own colors and materials.

I was not aware that these kits were available. How marvelous for the creative at heart.

What you have done with the Robotime Simons Coffee miniature model is outstanding. These are something I love to see completed, not something I would have the desire or patience to complete myself.

I would love to see additional creations of your in the future. I thank you for opening my eyes to something I had no idea existed

That is the best redo. I hated the "silverware" as well. I got some like the ones you have coming in the mail. Thank you for showing me this. I love it.
