11 Tips on Miniature Halloween Crafts with popsicle sticks.
Let’s not chat any longer, but head straight over the Halloween idea projects!
1. Create A Miniature Haunted House:
Create a detailed miniature haunted house using popsicle sticks as the base structure.
For this base structure, you can check out my YouTube video below.
To transform this into a Halloween theme, here are some steps that you can take:
- Base Coat: Apply a base coat of dark paint (e.g., black or dark gray) to the entire haunted house. Thin the paint with water for an aged look.
- Detail Work: Use smaller brushes to add architectural details, like shingles and window frames, with contrasting colors.
Or, you can also add dollhouse shingles yourself, of course. - Weathering and Aging: Create an aged appearance by dry brushing lighter colors (gray or moss green) on corners and edges.
- Moss and Decay: Add patches of fake “moss” in green and add “decay” with brown or black paint for extra spookiness.
- Window and Door Details: Paint doors and window frames with contrasting colors. Add cracked paint or creepy details if desired.
- Spiderwebs and Cobwebs: Add fake cobwebs or small spiders to add to the creepiness.
- Final Touches: Glue on miniature Halloween decorations like skeletons, bats, etc.
With these steps, you’ll transform ordinary popsicle sticks into a hauntingly beautiful miniature haunted house ready to enchant your Halloween decor.

My name is Lizzy, and I am an amateur miniaturist obsessed with everything in the dollhouse and miniature world, ever since I was a teenager.
So far, I have created 2 dollhouse projects, a backyard shed and a miniature treehouse, tons of DIY dollhouse kits, and “hacked” some.
I also created a fairy garden, and lots of small and simple miniature projects on my YouTube channel. (mostly made from trash or everyday items).
I love to write as well about all things happening in the miniature world, hence the reason why I created this blog!

I like the idea of making miniature crates. Possibly painting them up in Halloween colors and putting some candy corn in them or something. Would look really cool!
